- I was using a USR Sportster 28.8 to connect to the Internet via the MS
- TCP/IP. I could adjust the modem sound any way I wanted. But, since
- upgrading to the 33.6 chip I seem to have lost control of the sound.
- It's either off or too loud. No matter what string I insert under
- Advanced the modem is either off or loud. I've tried L0, L1, I've
- tried setting the modem volume under Modem/Properties but no go.
- Anyone else had this problem--or is it a feature? I sort of miss
- hearing my modem faintly in the background---now it's like a tidal
- wave.
